Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, courteous, and timely professional service to existing and prospective members
- Processes deposits to checking or savings accounts and disburses cash or check withdrawals; process checks and other transactions
- Provide money orders, credit card cash advances, receive loan payments and service charge payments for services
- Process transfers between accounts and automatic distribution forms, recording all transactions according to member's request
- Redeems US Savings Bonds and balance ATM
- Operates on?line teller terminal and accurately records amounts received and prepares reports of transactions
- Opens and closes his/her Teller terminal, accounts for cash assigned, received, disbursed on a daily basis. Accurately balances to teller terminal close report
- Assist members by providing information and answering questions about the credit union services and requirements/eligibility
- Analyze member activity and cross sell other products and services to fit member needs
- Comply with BSA and other applicable regulations
- Maintain knowledge of One Detroit Credit Union products and services, operational policies and procedures, by-laws, and philosophy
- Perform other duties as required for the efficient operation of the branch
Qualifications and Skills
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required. Some college level course work preferred
- 6 months to 1 year prior banking or customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in assisting customers with inquires and/or problem resolution
- Identifying opportunities to enhance member financial needs, goals and objectives
